Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Full-Time: PM and overnight (NOC) shifts available

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) assists the Director and oversees the direct care of the residents being provided by the Caregivers and Medication Aides

• Assists the Director with contacting resident’s attending physicians for changes of condition, new admission orders, discharge orders and all necessary changes in medication and treatment orders. Responsible for notifying resident family members/surrogate decision makers of changes in condition, changes in medication and treatment orders, obtaining informed consents, developing resident care plans, documents all physician, resident, family member/surrogate decision maker communication.
• Responds quickly, calmly and professionally to medical emergencies.
• Knowledgeably and skillfully performs Intravenous therapy with in the LVN scope of practice, tube feedings, oxygen administration and related procedures, catheterizations, suctioning and dressing changes. Accurately carries out medication administration and treatment procedures. Assists with direct resident care, such as bathing, grooming, transferring, repositioning as needed. Willing to accept additional responsibilities in emergency situations to ensure quality resident care is maintained.
• Completes other duties as assigned by Director.

What you will bring

Our ideal candidate will be reliable and follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor.

• Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse License in good standing with the LVN Board of Nursing.
• At least one year of experience with providing direct nursing care to the elderly and chronically ill patients preferably in an Assisted Living facility.
• Knowledge of Title 22 RCFE Regulations preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Legally Authorized to work in the United States
